Neat Houses to Sell
It isn’t always about price and area, ...it’s about impression
A fresh coat of paint if necessary brings back the “WOW”!
Wash the windows inside out.
Perform minor repairs: broken panes or missing gutters, or the odd missing roof tile, cracked floor, or counter tiles, patch holes in walls, fix leaking taps and broken toilets, fix doors that don't close properly and kitchen drawers that jam. Consider painting your walls neutral colors, replace burned-out light bulbs, etc.
Ensure that the garden and yard is neat and free of refuse and clutter.
Ensure that the inside of your home is neat and free of unnecessary clutter.
Loud noise and music or unpleasant smells usually does not give a good impression.
Don’t leave cupboards lying half open with some of the contents on the floor... and oh, shoes must “disappear”.
The kitchen is normally the one area that the buyer will pay special attention to. Ensure that the counters are free of crockery, dirty dishes etc.
The buyer’s ultimate question: “Do I see myself living here?”
